ROBINSONS DEPARTMENT STORE TO ‘GO LOKAL!’ THIS MARCH. Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez (3rd from R) and Robinsons Department Store President Robina Gokongwei-Pe (3rd from L) formally sealed partnership to bring the Go Lokal! brand to Robinsons Place in Manila this March, after the official agreement signing held recently at the DTI office in Makati City. A breakthrough opportunity for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and spearheaded by DTI, the Go Lokal! program gives a strategic avenue for MSMEs to market products that showcase Filipino craftsmanship and ingenuity. Sec. Lopez emphasized that apart from providing market access for MSME products, the program is a platform for new entrepreneurs to test the marketability of their products without the fear of losing rental and commercial costs because their experience is free of charge. Go Lokal! will offer the best products of Philippine MSMEs, including fashion accessories, woven and canvas bags, clutches, shoes, linens, woven mats, cosmetics, skin care products and other food-based products. Joining the trade chief were DTI Undersecretary for Industry Promotions Nora Terrado (2nd from R), Assistant Secretary for Regional Operations Christopher Albert Naga (rightmost), Robinsons Department Store General Manager Johnson Go (2nd from L) and Robinsons Department Store Chief Finance Officer Mylene Kasiban (leftmost).
